Not sure what you have?
Wood that’s been finished and aged under a century of varnish doesn’t always look much like fresh wood, and sometimes the same species can come out a half-dozen different colours depending on how it was cut.
Fortunately, we're wood identification experts. Mail or bring us a sample part & we'll be able to tell you exactly what it's made out of.
Matching an old finish?
New timber next to a hundred-year-old staircase will look wrong even in the same species, since the old wood will have darkened. Even still, through effective staining & design, we can closely match an original piece & provide a visually indistinguishable replica in virtually all cases.
